Richard Silton is the COO and CFO of Executive Networks, responsible for daily operations supporting the company’s networks and membership services. He is also responsible for financial planning and control for the company. Mr. Silton brings 30 years of experience to Executive Networks in the fields of human resource development, training automation and small business management.
Mr. Silton founded Silton-Bookman Systems in 1984. Over the next 15 years, its Registrar product became the largest selling training administration system in the world. Registrar helped more than four thousand corporate training functions automate training planning, recordkeeping, regulatory compliance and training delivery. Silton-Bookman merged with Pathlore Software in 2000 and Mr. Silton left active management at Pathlore in 2001. He served on its Board of Directors until Pathlore was acquired by SumTotal Systems in 2005.
From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Silton was a principal with Brereton and Company, an investment banking firm representing private company owners in the lower middle market ($15M to $150M). He participated in a number of transactions representing buyers and sellers in a variety of industries.
Before founding his own firm in 1984, Mr. Silton spent nine years with Memorex Corporation in Human Resource positions including Manager of Management Development, Human Resource Systems Director, Director of Human Resource Planning and finally Director Human Resource Development with responsibility for training and development and organizational effectiveness worldwide.
Mr. Silton holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern California and an MBA from California State University, Fresno.
