Coronavirus COVID-19 Policies and HR Procedures

Human Resources Roundtable Group members consisting of CHROs from 12 Global organizations joined an emergency call with 12 hours-notice to discuss issues they face and policies they are implementing in regards to the worldwide spread of COVID-19. The discussion included topics such as:

  • travel policies
  • meeting and event policies
  • communication strategies
  • visitor policies
  • language to ensure the correct measures are taken but employees are not unduly frightened
  • pay policies for employees whose jobs are limited or on hold during shut-downs
  • pay policies for contingent workers
  • recruiting strategy changes
  • experience with China and other containment zones
  • manufacturing considerations
  • work from home policies
  • work from home support for equipment and access
  • returning to normal business practices
  • rotating staff necessary on-site
  • policies for social distancing, temperature readings, medical questionnaires, etc
