Our 2023 HRRG Spring Meeting will be held at the Shell Center in London, hosted by Shell. The event will start 12pm on 3 May and end 1pm 4 May. More details on scheduling to come!

Organizations are continually seeing an undeniable need for developing a relevant Human Resources strategy that directly aligns with the company vision, values and business goals. People are increasingly at the heart of our world and professional reality, and the imperative to closely tie people priorities to the business strategy is evident. This presents quite a challenge, considering the VUCA environment we are living and working in. Even if our definition of HR Strategy is stable, the context and reality within which it must be designed, developed, and implemented have been rapidly evolving. While defining strategy is one thing, translating strategy into continuously successful execution is where we can have a sustainable impact. 

This leads to a few considerations we will have a chance to explore.

• In our current reality, what are the key cornerstones of a successful HR strategy? How do these translate into implementing a relevant and straightforward plan?
• What is going to provide a material difference to the employee and business? How to truly align people priorities with business goals?
• How do trends for future work and impactful disruptors influence HR strategy?
• When is a good time to redefine your HR strategy?
• How do ESG considerations fit into HR strategy?
• How do capabilities and skills fit into HR strategy?
• How does technology fit into HR strategy?

The pandemic certainly changed the way we meet at Executive Networks. We were able to flex and go virtual, just as you had to accommodate within your organizations. We hear from many members that it is time to get. back to face-to-face events, and we could not agree with you more. Therefore, it is our full intent in 2023 to host live semi-annual meetings. Going back to our pre-pandemic format of meeting one-time in US and one-time in Europe.

We acknowledge that new headwinds lie ahead in 2023 as economic pressures remain. While it is our desire to host live events, we will remain agile to shift to hybrid if that becomes necessary. More information will come from each Network as their planning takes hold in Q1 2023.
