Bayer, the global life sciences company, is moving away from traditional individualized PM to a team-based approach. EN recently invited Bayer’s CTO to share the nuts and bolts of their journey.  Gone are the performance curves and direct ties to individual bonuses. In their place are statements about each individual’s contribution toward team goals and team performance-based bonus pools. With some limited guidance from HRBPs, managers now have the ability to offer spot rewards throughout the year and divide the team’s bonus pool at will.
